Need job-seeking skills? Participate in employment Services! You and the Expandability Staff will devise a person-centered vocational plan to gain skills and improve job readiness. Services are provided one-on-one and in group settings. These include:
Placement services will be provided to all job-ready clients to identify employers and find jobs well-matched to employment goals. Part and full-time positions will be sought based on interests, stamina, abilities, accommodation needs, transportation options, and job availability..
On-the-job training and coaching will be provided as needed, gradually fading in intensity, with additional services to include monthly progress reports and comprehensive semi-annual and annual reviews of job performance, job satisfaction, and other job-related issues e.g. teaching job tasks, supervision at the worksite, coworker/supervisor consultation, assistance in integrating the participant into the work environment through natural supports, assistance in changes in the work environment impacting the potential for job retention, assistance with public support agencies, family and residential provider consultation, and contact with the participants and/or employer to ensure continued job satisfaction.
You will be provided with ongoing support to retain your job for a minimum of 90 days. The Expandability Staff will work with you and your employer (if necessary) to proactively ensure that there are no perceived or real issues that threaten the success of your job placement.
Expandability will also provide quarterly follow-ups in the year following your job placement.
